As general manager of ARC Abatement’s Houston office, Rick Rickels is a veteran in environmental contracting starting in 1985 on the supply side and then moving to contracting side of the industry.

In the early 1980’s Rickels worked for Lone Star Safety & Supply. In the mid-1980’s, he was hired as corporate safety director for a large abatement contractor, where he ran the Texas office.

Before becoming general manager of ARC’s Houston office, Rickels worked under the leadership of ARC’s Dallas General Manager Steve Chappell. It was during this time that Rickels oversaw four abatement projects that were the first ever contracted by the City of Dallas.

Rickels graduated from the University of North Texas with a split Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) degree in management and a BBA in marketing. He is married with two children.
