ARC Sixth in ENR’s Top 20 Firms in Asbestos Abatement
WACO, TX (November 19, 2015) — ARC Abatement moved from tenth to sixth place in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) annual Top 20 Firms in Asbestos Abatement list, bringing in $35.2 million in revenue, an increase of 79 percent over the previous year.
“To have this much of an increase in 12 months is incredible,” said Ron Daniel, CEO of ARC Abatement. “Having started this business in my garage 25 years ago, I’m delighted that we moved up on the list. All the credit goes to ARC’s 300+ employees.”
This gain is due in part to a better economy than last year, as well as an increase in redevelopment, particularly in Texas. Daniel also attributes the gain to ARC Oil and Gas Services, a subsidiary company offering a comprehensive range of environmental assessment and remediation to onshore oil and gas production and drilling facilities.
“Asbestos had been used in building materials for hundreds of years, but banned 35 years ago, so there’s a lot of abatement to be completed,” said Daniel, who was interviewed by an ENR reporter. “Also, a strong economy generates redevelopment, which, in turn, creates high demand for asbestos abatement.”
ENR also spotlighted ARC’s project on 1401 Elm Street in downtown Dallas by posing the question, “Who Abated J.R.?” It answered:
“ARC Abatement is doing one of the largest U.S. asbestos-abatement jobs. The 52-floor boiler room…[was] once used as the fictional office of J.R. Ewing in the 1980s TV show ‘Dallas.’”
