It took about two weeks for our New Orleans team to abate the asbestos on a Conti Street warehouse. The project consisted of 50,000 square feet of floor tiles, 40,000 square feet of transite and some roofing on four buildings. ARC General Manager Jon Dayton oversaw the six-figure project. The proposed redevelopment would include a multi-family development, shops and restaurants.  According to developers, if approved, construction would start in 2017 and last 18-24 months. Watch a television news story on the project here.

For another project, we made way for two new Louisiana living spaces. For Park 7 Group, we abated five apartment buildings and three houses on an area spanning 50,000 square feet, which will result in new student apartments. This project was completed on time and in-budget in four weeks. By January 2017, we will have abated asbestos in a 60,000 square foot site, which Herman & Kettle Properties plans to turn into affordable housing. Both are six-figure projects.

We opened an asbestos removal Louisiana regional office in 2008 to serve the Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and the surrounding region.  Projects include the  Cohn High School, D’Ville Apartments, the Little Rock Convention Center, Earl Long Hospital, and Lake Pontchartrain Elementary School.
