As GM of ARC’s Denver asbestos removal operations, Mike Griffins’ projects span the entire state of Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska.  Projects his management include three apartment buildings for the City of Aurora Housing Authority, Colorado Plains Medical Center, the U.S. Army installation at Fort Carson, five apartment complexes for Boulder Housing Partners, the complete abatement of Aims Community College – PSI Building.  He oversaw lead abatement at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) as well as several Denver Public Schools projects and University of Colorado – Boulder projects and many others.

ARC Colorado completed the largest Regulation No. 19 lead cleanup in Colorado’s history.  The project followed a downtown Denver apartment building explosion. With 12 licensed technicians, the cleanup lasted more than two months.

ARC Colorado provides methamphetamine lab cleanup. Our clients for this service include several rental property owners and the Boulder County Housing Authority.

Griffin’s training is primarily in asbestos and hazardous materials consisting of AHERA & CDPHE supervisor, AHERA & CDPHE project designer, Safe Lands Awareness Training, HAZWOPER/HAZCOM, First Responder, lead restoration, repair and painting (RRP), confined space training, lock-out /tag-out, aerial lift operator and scaffolding and fall protection.

With over 20 years in the environmental industry, he is well respected by his peers and the governing regulatory agencies.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Denver Metropolitan College.  Prior to Metro, he played football for the Sun Devils at Arizona State University but lost his scholarship due to an injury.

Griffin considers himself a “sports nut” and a “Homer” rooting on the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche.
