Denver Housing Authority Asbestos AbatementIn December 2018, ARC Denver completed the abatement of 10 apartment building on the southwest and northwest corners of 10th Avenue and Decatur Street in Denver for the Denver Housing Authority (DHA). DHA, the City and the County of Denver have partnered on a mixed-income public housing development underway in the popular Sun Valley neighborhood. ARC is currently one of three Denver Housing Authority asbestos abatement contractors. ARC had 12-25 technicians on the job since it began in mid-August. According to a story in the Denverite, “DHA plans to demolish and replace the 333 housing units near West 10th Avenue and Decatur Street with 750 new, mixed-income housing units. Roughly 20 percent of the new units will be market-rate, and 80 percent will be affordable to people earning 60 percent of area median income or less.” Read the story here.
