ARC-RRickels-Bio2ARC Abatement today announced its longtime Dallas senior project manager Rick Rickels has been named General Manager and will oversee ARC’s Houston office.

Rickels is a veteran in environmental contracting with 25 years on the supply side and contracting side of the industry. In the early 1980s, Rickels worked for Lone Star Safety & Supply.  In the mid-1980s, he was hired as corporate safety director for a large abatement contractor, where he ran the Texas office.  It was during his time that Rickels oversaw the very first four abatement projects that the City of Dallas did.

Since 2000 Rickels worked under the leadership of ARC’s Dallas General Manager Steve Chappell.  “I could not pass up the opportunity that Houston brings to me in both client relations and growing ARC’s business in this region of Texas,” Rickels said.

Rickels graduated from the University of North Texas with a split bachelor of business administration (BBA) degree in management and a BBA in marketing.

“Rick Rickels brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Houston as well as exceptional client service,” said Ron Daniel, ARC Abatement chief executive officer.  “I have no doubt the Houston office will flourish under his leadership.”
