Several of our power plant asbestos abatement projects have been in the southern United States. However, ARC has eight regional offices across the nation from Denver to New Orleans, and we are capable of serving power companies across the United States.
One power plant asbestos project had us smelling the clean Gulf air. It was a six-figure project that had ARC abating asbestos in the turbine room of a power plant in south Texas, near the Gulf of Mexico. Though the boiler room was abandoned nearly a decade ago, and the conditions around the site during the cleanup have been less than ideal, the project is going very well. Environmental cleanup projects such as this one in south Texas are particularly important in coastal areas such as this because of their delicate ecosystems and ocean contiguity.
Another project took us to Savoy, Texas, where we abated asbestos from a TXU power plant. This seven-figure environmental remediation project is furthering TXU’s efforts to provide clean, affordable energy. TXU has found so much success with clean energy production that they are offering free energy to their customers during certain parts of the day. Similar projects include Plant Eaton, Cleco, and Natchitoches Power Plants.
